FAQs

  • So how much should a full bathroom renovation cost?

The exact cost of your bathroom will essentially depend upon your scope of works and choice of fittings and tiles. Contact us for an obligation-free quote.

  • How long does a bathroom remodeling typically take from start to finish?

At the risk of sounding elusive, we really must say that “it depends.” The scope of the bathroom remodeling dictates how long the project will take. For example, if you are relocating your fixtures and reconfiguring the room, the actual construction will obviously take a little bit longer.

Here’s a sample timeline, for illustration purposes only, of a bathroom remodeling project that does not include relocating fixtures:

Meet with a Andrew for a Free Design Consultation and get the quote  – 1 week
Select all the materials for the project – 1 to 2 days
Fixturs & tiles are ordered and delivered – 1 to 6 weeks.
Demolition and removal of old fixtures & materials  – 1 to 2 days
Installation of new fixtures, plumbing, electrical, plastering, painting & tileing work – 2 to 3 weeks.
Finishing touches and clean up – 1 to 2 days.

  • What do I need to do to prepare for my bathroom renovation?

You can start by getting a good idea for the type of look and style you want. If you don’t know yet, look at some magazines, websites, or watch some home remodeling shows to get some design ideas. But, generally speaking, before construction begins, you’ll want to clear out the area being worked on of all your personal belongings that can be removed. Although, we cover the areas surrounding our work area, move or remove any furniture you’ll want to protect.

  • Do I need to have design ideas before I start the renovation process?

Absolutely not; but it helps if you do. Andrew can help generate ideas or work through the ones you already have.

  • What features should I plan to invest the most in for my new bathroom?

Depending on your style and taste, the floor and wall tiles can be the most expensive. Other possibly considerable expenses are the fixtures and shower system.

  • Andrew has taken our existing room & unused porch & transformed them into a wonderful bathroom. He was extremely helpful & nothing was too much trouble. His fellow workmen were just as professional & easy to get on with. Our new room has been greatly admired by all who have seen it.

  • Hi Andrew, I would like to thank Andrew and his team for the fabulous work they did on the total renovation of our bathroom. After getting three quotes, Andrews was the one we chose, his quote covered plumbing, tiling, and builders, no hidden costs. The work was done in the time frame quoted. All tradesmen where considerate to our home, using drop sheets, keeping dust at bay, removal of all waste, and even smiled when I changed my mind on a couple of things. Terry and I couldn't be happier with the finished room. Thank you again for a great job well done.

    Trish - May 2015

  • We had a clear vision of how our renovated en-suite and bathroom would look and function. Andrew and the inhouse Plumbing and bathroom team helped transform that vision into reality. The professionalism of the team eased us through the renovation process and the tiler (Julian) showed why he has a reputation as one of the best in Tasmania. The tiling was perfect, laying the foundation that shows in the finished product. They were punctual, respectful of our home at all times and on budget. Every time I walk into our new bathrooms, I smile. We have no hesitation at recommending inhouse Plumbing and Bathrooms and will use them again when we build our new extension later.
